     The journal ANALELE UNIVERSITĂŢII BUCUREŞTI. LIMBA ŞI LITERATURA ROMÂNĂ (The Annals of the University of Bucharest. Studies of Romanian Language and Literature) appeared in its old series between 1893 and 1942, and afterwards between 1956 and 1960. The new series appears since 1969, one issue per year. 
 


Aims and Scope


     Analele Universităţii Bucureşti. Limba şi literatura română publishes articles, studies, reviews dealing with various and relevant philological topics, encouraging the researches undertaken from a pluri- and interdisciplinary point of view.

   - Romanian language (theoretical and applied approaches; synchronic/diachronic/comparative perspective etc.);
   - General Linguistics regarding Romanian and other languages;
   - Romanian Literature;
   - Universal and Comparative Literature;
   - Theory of Literature;
   - Cultural Anthropology;
   - Romanian and Comparative Folklore.


     The papers approach recent theoretical, methodological and empirical issues in all these neighbouring disciplines. Researches published in the journal reflect by their content and bibliography the present day problems and trends in the sciences of language, literature, and anthropology. Over the recent past years, a significant number of prestigious specialists from foreign and Romanian universities and research centres published studies in the journal. Some issues of the journal are topic-oriented or published papers of national and international conferences. Through its wide and pluridisciplinary scope, the journal has an important role in maintaining scientific contacts between various and related fields of research dealing with Romanian Language, Literature and Culture.

     Analele Universităţii Bucureşti. Limba şi literatura română is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution.  The use of the published material will be permitted under a CC BY-NC license [http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/]. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, non-commercially distribute, print etc. the texts of the articles, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author, provided that the original source is properly and completely referenced.

     The journal has been recognised by The National Council for Research in Higher Education (CNCS, B category). Peer Review


     The journal uses the double-blind peer-review; each submitted material is reviewed by two independent referees, in order to verify if it fulfils the scientific criteria of the journal. 
 

Publication Fee


     The authors are not required to pay any fees for the preliminary processing and the publication of the papers; no honorarium is either paid to the authors.
